3. Component Speakers 

The component speakers are similar to coaxial except that the tweeter and woofer cone are entirely separate. This eliminates cross-phase distortion. A component speaker system is when tiny tweeters are mounted on their own. Most box speakers have a component system with the tweeter and woofer at one end. Component speakers are more expensive than coaxial.


4. Subwoofers 

A subwoofer can be used to enhance the sound quality of your system. Subwoofers are simply an extension of the speaker system described above. So, subwoofers are just an extension of the component speaker configuration. They can handle low frequencies. But, a subwoofer is not enough to control the lowest frequencies. It would sound like mud.

A subwoofer can add a lot of thump to your music. However, you need to power it enough. This can mean a lot of amplifier power. The stereo head unit will not provide enough power. You might not be able to hear any difference if you don’t give the sub enough power.
